Happy 3rd Birthday Eitan!

Hello Eitan, we cannot believe it that you're 3 years old today. Exactly at this time, 4:24, I returned back to the hospital in a lot of pain (they discharged me because the induction was a failure at 2 pm). You came into the world at 10:51 PM not screaming but wide eyed and watching. They tried to rouse you to "make" you cry but you didn't. You let out a little peep like, "dude, I get it now back off, I'm dandy!" It's so you, even to this day. You're very observant, bright, comical, witty, silly, mischievous and you definitely have a mind of your own. We love you and are very lucky to have you, Aidan also is so lucky to have a big brother who actually ADORES him.

A beginning of your and Jahren's friendship. Jahren is your first BFF.







You make Daddy a happier man.



You always had your tongue sticking out as a reflex... whether it be me kissing you or tickling you, out came your tongue.



That smile has not changed.

You were so excited and said "baby awake!!" and then you started crying because daddy wasn't around to feel it. You, to this day, still get so excited when Aidan responses to you. I know you'll be a great big brother.





For some reason I love this picture, it makes me feel like you're beyond your age.

This picture has a special story.



One of my favorite story. You were walking down the stairs and was about to hold the rail. I explained that it was dirty (it was outside) from car smoke... you then held your hands and said you were "holding" yourself as you walked down :)





You decided to stop wearing diapers all by yourself sometimes in July.

You insist to dress yourself up... be it shoes, socks or shirts. You were so proud of your shoes choice in that picture.




You have shown NO interest in drawing until one day, boom, you've become an artist. This is your self portrait you drew all by yourself. Every time you see that picture, you'd proudly point at it and say "that me Eitan!"



One of the biggest thing about your growing up is you've moved into the "system" (school). You're SO loving it right now and I hope you continue to love going to school.





You've blossomed into being a fun brother that Aidan 110% adores.



You're also very inquisitive these days. You're saying "let me see" as if "I don't believe you, prove me!" You also ask us what do those words say in a book or somewhere visible. After we sign the words to you, you'd say, "oooooh."



"it says my name!!" (he asked us what was on the shirt and I told him it was a buck like an elk, just like his nick name, he then declared it his favorite shirt he got for his birthday).
