Long time no see!

Before I post or yak, here's a picture of my bottom two teeth and I currently am cutting two more on the top. Glad to say, it doesn't hurt or bug me at all.

Hello my fellow lurkers, I'm thriving and thriving thrice, nearly wearing my parents out. In the past few weeks I've learned how to crawl like a doggie, climb as high as I want, sign words for things I love (light, tree, hello, bye bye-- both the same thing, mama and dada), walk with help and eat as much as I want.

My Parents finally GOT it on how to feed me the jar food. I really hate the spoons and prefer them finger feeding me the solids. However, Mom came up with a fun and brilliant idea, she spoon fed me my solids through the Romaine leaves, the hard part at the bottom, because it scoops up well and I could suck on it. I think today was the first time I actually finished a whole jar in one sitting (it was a much needed prunes... pooping these days have been quite straining and painful).

Besides the jar food, I get to eat my favorites such as avocado, bread, and those weird veggie wheels that takes me forever to eat. Enough about food, you can see that I obviously have so much love for food besides Mama's milk, big grin.

(I love avocado, I had a half of the whole thing and well, gastrointestinally suffered the next day-- wince)

Speaking of big grins, I always bestow people that I wish to flatter by giving them my big silly grins. It never fails to make them laugh. Here's an example of my goofy grin that spreads from ear to ear:

((i love this outfit, it makes me look athletic... thanks Grandma and Grandpa East!))

Mama and Papa says they can't believe it that I'm 8 and a half months old. Soon, they said, before we'd know it, I'll be walking and talking nonstop.

As for now, I crawl like a pro and am nearly into everything.

((papers never cease to bore me, they taste good, feels great and sounds thrilling))

I don't really like being in this bulky thing but I sure love being around and under it... I think my Parents slowly realize that I have a defiant streak in me, tee hee.

Let me give you an example of how my Nanny Cat underestimated my super speedy abilities... whilst seeking for clothes, I guess, it only took her a minute, or less actually... and this is what I've done to my Parent's chic pre-baby days' lamp:

IMG_0150

haha! Well, one time it toppled over but my trusty rocking chair caught it. Mom's eyes were a size of a saucer plate when she couldn't stop the lamp from falling in time. She must've been scared, she has given me those looks more than frequent these days. Well, gravity is fun but sometimes, it's really cruel.

I'm always wanting to walk, crawl and explore-- there are SO many fascinating things in life!

((poor Daddy, I wore him out... as much as I did Ma but Ma sleeps only on the bed and Dad, well, he sleeps when he can))

When Daddy or Mommy are tired, I can always go and ask somebody else, like my Radical Cousins:

Here's what I can climb and I assure you, I ain't stopping:

IMG_0174

Wanting to get to the top (I've done it before and again, my Parent's hearts were up in their throats)

IMG_0177

Me giving my patented goofy smile when my Ma said "nuh huh uh! Don't even think about it!" Unfortunately, that smile didn't charm her into allowing me to continue.

Unfortunately, while climbing around that area, I slipped (momentarily idiotic at that second) and banged myself in the face. Thus, giving myself my first shiner ever:

Ma says she knows there'll be more to come at the rate of my activeness... hmm, I hope it wouldn't hurt as bad as it did with my first!

During my spare time (not crawling or climbing) I like to stand and play with this really neat toy from the Baer family (thanks!). It makes all kind of sounds, flashes lights and tells me what buttons I am pushing... such as, "squuuuare" (it's a weird orange box looking thing) and another cool one... "triiiaaaangle" and I cannot describe the shape itself but I think you adults get what I'm talking about. Anyway, I love that contraption and never get bored of it.

(notice my little curls? cute huh? irresistible?)

Speaking of cuteness, my Ma gave a shirt to Nanny Cat when my Cousin Mally was a wee kid like me. Then Cousin Jahren wore it and now, I get to wear it. It says "Please Leave Me a Green and Peaceful Planet."

Since we're talking fashion, I wanted to pose for my Aunty Keri who gave me adorable clothes... but Ma laughed and said I looked like a thug...

Do you think so? How about this:

IMG_0310

Better, right? Here's a picture of me crawling but it's an action frozen, not really as exciting as the real thing but I'm sure you have great imaginative skills and are able to envision me crawling.

Whew, I think I nearly worn myself out. Gonna stop for now with a picture of me and Daddy sleeping together- a rare moment I've come to love.

Super Duper Busy!

Hello ladies and gents-- I sincerely apologise for my lack of yammering. Life has been such a busy blur, espeically when Mama and Papa went back to work and Nanny Cat takes me practically everywhere.

I'm such a happy boy, I swear, because life is marvelous. I can easily discover new things by getting around by doing the army crawl-- as They call it. I now am trying to stand on my own and will only do so if my Mommy or Daddy is nearby. Because I KNOW what happens when you try to stand up on your own near some tough surfaces. Not funny. Although I'm starting to show some courage by trying to climb on my Parent's shelves and the set they called Entertainment Center. It is such a fitting name because all the wires, papers, toys, games, books, movies, remotes... you name it-- are there. I caught my Parents discussing about doing something about the fun center, with urgency in their tone, before I'd be able to climb all over it. I guess they can see that I'll be everywhere soon enough :)

Here are some pictures, of course, by my Nanny Cat who happens to be the world's greatest photographer (and no, I am not being biased).

Jahren being silly, he thinks my head is a road. Somebody needs to teach him that it isn't.

I know he's my Cousin but I think of him as my big Brother. He always play with me and even wouldn't let me touch any plugs or wires. That shows me how much he loves me.

See? :-D

Aunty Lis gave me an apple to suck on. I think I nearly sucked out all the juice. I learned that if I bite a wee bit, juice would come out. All I had to do was to suck, suck, bite then slurp and suck suck-- a fun way to eat, sure beats those green peas jarred food. Yuck!

So far, I love chopped avocado (covered with grated teething cookies), bananas, yogurt, rice, cereal, peach, apples... sweet potatoes... well, just about anything but the disgusting green peas! But of course, how could I forget, I totally, utterly, and joyfully love my Mama's milk!!!

I've been sleeping in the crib like a big boy. Actually, my Parents 'forced' me to sleep in there because I roll all over the place and nearly gave them heart attacks because their bed is too high. At first I hated the crib but now, I love it because I get to sleep there without my Parents bugging me when they, too, roll around. Here's a picture of me as an example of how I nearly give my Parents a heart attack:

Me on their night table-- I can't help it, everything there looks intriguing.

I'm almost 8 months old. Last week methinks we had a growth spurt. I ate every 2 hours for three days/nights and now I'm so tall and a bit fuller. My Mom says she feels like she's carrying two trees at the same time. She sure knows how to flatter me.

Have a great Labor Day everyone, rest well and don't work yourselves up, not even for a tiny bit.

Mwah as my Mommy would say,
